A 'perfect application' for those who don't want It's perfect for anyone who wants to build web pages without having It's a great application and works seemlessly with Photoshop. I've been using GoLive since version 3, well before Adobe bought It's beyond ridiculous to judge a software program by the number of If anyone can give some further details about differences between the two programs (features, reliability, ease of use, etc.), as opposed to personal attacks, that would be helpful. The economics of investing in BOTH the Adobe CS bundle and the Dreamweaver package are kind of intimidating, though. I was hoping the version included in the Creative Suite bundle would remedy some of the problems, but if not, then maybe I need to look at Dreamweaver. For example, when I update the local version of the web site and then upload to my server, the software frequently fails to find all of the changed pages. I happen to use an old version of GoLive myself, and while it does much of what I need, I am not totally happy with it - it's buggy. I think both Dreamweaver and GoLive are aimed at those who don't want to do the HTML themselves - and I don't think that has anything to do with how intelligent the users are. I appreciated Jim's comments re the number of books and the timeframe of the last upgrade to GoLive, and I can also agree with deant's sentiment that I'd rather not have to take a community college course or buy a book to learn to use a software package. Hey, come on, guys - real information about the programs is helpful, but making value judgments on the opinions of others just stirs up the heat without adding value to the forum.
