6/11/2023 0 Comments True autumn makeupI have been trying to focus on skin care so that I can get my skin smoother and more evenly toned (recent rosacea diagnosis) and forgo any type of skin coverage like that. I haven’t used foundation or a CC cream or BB cream in a long time but the Purlisse CC cream looked good on me and natural. For highlight I use the light shade on the same palette or Benefit Highbeam. I use the darker colors on the Anastasia ambient lighting palette. I typically don’t contour heavily, but if I do, it’s a very light effect. I find that liquid eyeliners are always too harsh looking for me, and I’m fine with that because I don’t want to deal with that learning curve now that I’ve forgotten how to use them. I like Naked palettes 1-3 (maybe I’d like others but I stopped buying them because I had plenty), Anastasia Modern Renaissance, and UD Full Spectrum (because I figured I could use color theory to do whatever I wanted with this one).Įxtra (for me), as in I’ll usually only do these if I’m doing a full look:Ī blendable eye pencil in brown or plum. For something glam, I love how gold eyeshadow looks against my green-brown hazel eyes. ![]() ![]() In a very natural look I might just do a chapstick or gloss.Įyeshadow: for lowest effort, I’ll swipe a single hazelnut shade over my eyes to create some depth. I like quite a few lipsticks but prefer soft autumn options most of the time. I like a natural look but I like to cover my rosacea. I prep that with moisturizer and with their high spreadability primer (or whatever it’s called). I use the ordinary serum foundation in 1.1P applied with a damp sponge. Not like undecided, just that i can pull from both but lean a little toward soft autumn.Įveryday (easiest things that have the most effect on my face):įor my eyebrows I use Anastasia dip brow or brow wiz. Despite having quite dark hair & eye lashes naturally, brown-black is way more flattering than true black has ever been! If you’re soft autumn, give it a try! If you’re soft summer, charcoal mascara/liner might work better than black. I find I can use crazier colours as long as I keep them matte and take the time to blend them well.Įdit: Just wanted to add that I also switched to using brown-black mascara when I learned about my colour season. A well-blended matte looks soft, romantic and harmonious, like a hazy watercolour or oil painting. I keep my face & lip colours matte too for the most part. Finally, my only shimmer on my eye is a soft white gold satin finish shadow on my inner corners. The purple reads as nearly brown on my face but makes my eye look bright & green. I have greenish hazel eyes, so I like to use a warm eggplant liner or shadow on my lower water line & lash line. Then I add a dark warm brown shadow or liner on my outer upper lash line. My most flattering eye look is to use matte shadows: a creamy ivory over the lid & brow bone, then a warm medium brown (like a muted terracotta) to define the crease. Shimmers look out of place on me so I keep them to a minimum. Personally I like dewy skin if I’m not wearing a lot of makeup, but matte finishes are better for me if I’m doing more. r/ColorAnalysis is not a place for self-promotion.
